Etheldred Rainey diary, 1861.

The collection consists of a diary of Etheldred Rainey, while serving in Phillips Legion of the Georgia State Reserves during the Civil War from October-December 1861. The entries describe life in camp and in the field while Rainey was at Green Sulphur Springs, Raleigh, and Fayetteville (N.C.) and Johnson City (Tenn.).
